Technology

Advanced Technologies We Utilize Include:

Digital X-rays

Digital x-rays are faster than conventional x-rays, and they are comfortable for you. They also aid us to accurately diagnose your oral health needs. All with up to 90% less radiation exposure. We employ digital imaging, as well, to show you how fabulous your new and improved smile could look, before treatment even begins. With no chemical processing needed, digital technology helps us do our part to keep the environment safe, too.

Intraoral Camera

Using this camera, we can give you a “tour” of your mouth on a TV screen (which is really cool). We also use the camera to guide you through your dental diagnosis and treatment options. This is helpful in keeping our patients at the center of their treatment plans. We want you to feel informed every step of the way, so you can make smart choices for your oral health and smile.

Electronic Dental Claims Processing

By filing your claims electronically, we can submit all information to your insurance company more quickly and safely. As a convenience we submit all information including x-rays, narratives, chartings, and photos to your insurance company. By filing electronically, we can monitor your claim more closely while saving a few trees along the way.

Digital Charting

In addition to having no physical charts in the office, we are saving the environment. With Digital Charting, your information is stored with our secure servers. We can email your x-rays and photos to specialists for consultations and referrals, we can track your accounts quickly and accurately, we can generate postcards to remind you when you are due for your 6-month preventive cleanings, and have your insurance information handy – all in one place.

Dental Magnification Loupes

Excellent dental care requires exacting precision and attention to detail. We must work in very small spaces and must be accurate to a fraction of a millimeter. To help us, our doctors and hygienists use special prismatic magnification glasses, or “loupes.”

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Composite fillings can be adhesively held in place or “bonded.” Because they can be bonded to teeth, composite fillings allow for more conservative preparations where less healthy tooth structure is removed. This often results in smaller fillings than that of amalgam (silver fillings), and they are more natural looking. The tooth-colored material is cured with a special light and the surface is shaped and polished to match the tooth, rendering the final restoration virtually undetectable to the eye and very natural feeling.

Dental Implants

Many of the millions of people who are missing teeth struggle with ill-fitting, uncomfortable dentures or retainers with false teeth. If you know what this feels like and are ready for a solution, we have one for you! We can give your smile a second chance through dental implant restorations. Implants can resolve the practical and social problems associated with dentures. They are effective in stabilizing dentures to fit better, feel better, look better, and chew better. Healthy implants can even prevent the bone loss that often occurs after tooth loss. In addition to denture stabilizing, implants can be used in some crown and bridge applications, as well as single-tooth replacements. The Lumineers® Veneers System

Lumineers® are the comfortable, conservative way to a beautiful smile! Imagine what it would be like to have the smile of your dreams… This is possible with the Lumineers® porcelain veneers system. In as few as two or three appointments, Dr. Eriks can create this kind of smile for you – a smile that will radiate confidence and joy. AND by using this system, we can apply the thin, custom-made, permanent veneers to the front side of your teeth without extensive preparation, and in most cases without injections. No kidding! Sedation Options

Dental anxiety is not unusual, and people of any age can experience such feelings. We will adjust our care to meet your needs, so you can receive the dental treatment you desire at a pace that feels comfortable to you. We also offer oral conscious sedation to help you relax. Please share your feelings and concerns with us, so we can accommodate you and make your dental visits as anxiety- and pain-free as we can.
If you’ve avoided seeing a dentist for a long time because of dental anxieties, please call us today. More and more life-threatening illnesses are being linked to the presence of dental diseases. You’ll be glad you called, and we’ll be glad to take care of you.

Flatscreen TVs in Treatment Rooms

Not only are the TVs great for seeing photos of your mouth, seeing the x-rays to understand your conditions, or watching a video on how we can improve or change your smile, but we think you’ll really like the option to watch your favorite DVD during your dental visit on our TV screens that can move above you while you lay back. Come in and see how you can feel more at ease while receiving the treatment you need. You may even forget you’re at the dentist.
